How long have you been working at Hallowell Todaro ADHD?

I have been working at Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center since October of 2020.

 

Where did you grow up?

Chicago, IL

 

What are your favorite books / TV shows / movies?

My favorite book is Strange Highways by Dean Koontz. I am a cooking fanatic so my favorite show is Chopped!

What’s your favorite sport and/or sports team?

Go Bears!

What led you to pursue a career helping others?

I come from a family that is full of people that love to help others. When I went to college I found an opportunity to audio-record text book chapters for visually impaired students. Having an opportunity to assist someone in expanding their world of knowledge had a great impact on my life.

 

What education, skills, and expertise do you bring to your role?

I have a Masters Degree in Special Education and a graduate certificate in Behavior Analysis. Behavior Analysis is all about discovering what motivates our behavior. Motivation plays a major role in the coaching process. My skills in determining motivation help me learn about ways to use motivation as an advantage in the coaching process.

Who/what inspires you?

I am inspired by all the infinite ways that people can learn.

What’s your personal philosophy/approach toward the work you do?

I think that we all are constant learners throughout life. I seek knowledge in this field regularly and feel as though this helps in expanding my abilities to help myself and others.

What is one small thing people can do to improve their lives and increase their happiness?

Find what makes you quirky or unique, celebrate your uniqueness and see how far it takes you.
