Important Information for New Clients

  • For all insurance purposes, Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center is considered an out-of-network provider. Payment for all services is due at the appointment. We are not contracted with any insurance providers, public or private, and do not accept Medicaid, Apple Health, or state assistance. We recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to scheduling with us in order to obtain accurate coverage details regarding out-of-network reimbursement options. We cannot guarantee any coverage options. If you would like to discuss this process further, we are happy to walk you through it over the phone to ensure you have all the information needed.

  • Services with licensed providers (including therapists and medication providers) may only be provided to individuals within the State of Washington. If you are not a resident of Washington or are traveling out of state, we will not be able to provide services with licensed providers at this time.

  • For all new clients in Washington, we require a 90-minute initial evaluation be completed so that we can better understand their individual needs. After an evaluation with one of our licensed therapists, we are able to achieve a complete picture of the client's health. Whichever stage they are at—pre or post-diagnosis—the therapist can then best assess the client's situation and develop a personalized care plan based around their individual needs. This may include further evaluation and diagnosis, regular therapy or coaching sessions, ADHD medication management and/or any of our additional services.

  • For all new coaching-only clients, we require an initial evaluation so that we can better understand their individual needs and goals. From there, clients can choose to continue meeting with the coach weekly, or bi-weekly for as little or as long as they would like.

  • For Parent Coaching clients, the Parent Coach will conduct the 90-minute initial consultation, assess the client's situation, and develop a parent coaching plan based on their personal parenting needs.

  • Psychoeducational evaluation at the Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center does not require a separate intake process. Testing is focused on learning and academic performance (evaluation for mental health conditions is not available). Testing can help determine if a student is experiencing a learning disability or a unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses. Psychoeducational testing is only available for students in Grades 1-12.

  • Telehealth is available for intake evaluations, therapy sessions, coaching sessions and other clinical services. Telehealth allows the client to continue care during the COVID-19 pandemic, inclement weather, or other circumstances that take away the option of in-person visits. Clients have the option of full or as-needed telehealth services. We do ask that clients continue to follow our cancellation policy.
