I have over 7 years of classroom teacher experience that I bring to my role. I am also the parent of two young people and understand the complicated life of a family. What’s your personal philosophy/approach toward the work you do?
You are stronger, smarter, braver and more creative than you think you are. Kids need to believe that they have the potential for greatness no matter what obstacles stand in their way.
What is one small thing people can do to improve their lives and increase their happiness?
Go outside and unplug! Take time to go for a walk around the block, clear your head and notice where you are. This simple event can make all the difference in your day. Oh and also, make a list! Write it down! Once it’s down on paper the worry or task isn’t swimming around in your head and you can tackle it.
Together with coach Liz, Deb will be leading our upcoming 'Getting to Calm' summer camp. Campers will learn how to calm their busy brains through mindfulness, yoga, emotional regulation, healthy choices and developing an attitude of gratitude.
