What led you to pursue a career helping others?
I grew up in a family that honored helping others and understood that relationships were key. This led me to work with children directly after college and I found my passion helping others.
What education, skills, and expertise do you bring to your role?
Beyond my Master’s degree, I have fourteen years’ experience working with children and their families in both educational and therapeutic settings, including teaching as an Instructional Assistant within Seattle Public Schools, am certified in Early Childhood Education, and am registered as a Behavior Technician.
Who/what inspires you?
I believe everyone can be an inspiration if you are open to the possibility and keep a curious mindset. This can be friends, family members, children, those in the community, really anyone.
What’s your personal philosophy/approach toward the work you do?
I believe in taking a relationally based, emotion-focused, and client-centered approach.
What is one small thing people can do to improve their lives and increase their happiness?
Help others.
