About the Group

This practical workshop will support adults with ADHD who would like to access the benefits of meditation and lead a more satisfying life. This workshop is designed for those who are new to mediation or who tried it briefly in the past with limited success. The workshop will include 7 one-hour sessions that will provide information about meditation, challenges to operationalizing these practices, and time to explore different practices to see what will work for each person.

The benefits of meditation are numerous including increased well-being and self-acceptance, self-awareness, decreased anxiety and overwhelm, and spiritual wholeness. Meditation is also known to increase dopamine, a neurochemical that impacts focus and motivation for individuals with ADHD. However, many people with ADHD struggle to access these benefits due to popular misconceptions as well as executive function challenges that get in the way. This workshop will focus on supporting individuals in developing meditation approaches that, when used consistently, can enhance participants' lives.
