How long have you been working at the Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center?

Starting June 3rd 2019 as an employee prior to that I had filled in as the family group facilitator since 2018.

 

Where did you grow up?

Seattle, Washington

 

What are your favorite books / TV shows / movies?

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Louis / The Red Line / If Beale Street Could Talk

What is your favorite sport and/or sports team?

Basketball is the Sport and I am still waiting for the Sonics to return.

What led you to pursue a career helping others?

We all walk through stuff in life and I am no exception. I wanted to support others through their tough times as a way of giving back.

 

What education, skills and expertise do you bring to your role?

I hold master in psychology and have worked with families and individuals for over 10 years. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient setting with a strong background in addiction and recovery.

Who/what inspires you?

Normal everyday people inspire me the most, when I see people overcome obstacles and come out the other side of it inspires me the most.

What’s your personal philosophy/approach toward the work you do?

My approach is to support others as they walk through their tough times. I reflect what I hear and see to help you figure out next steps and solutions. I believe that there are more solutions than there are problems we just need help to see it at times.


 

What is one small thing people can do to improve their lives and increase their happiness?

Be kind to yourself and others is a good place to start.
