What is your favorite sport and/or sports team?
Football season is my favorite. I play fantasy football and follow individual players more than teams, but grew up a Raiders fan (I do like the Seahawks too).
I enjoy watching track and field the most and used to run track in high school.

What led you to pursue a career helping others?
With my father being a physician, I have always been interested in the medical field. He took me on medical mission trips to Ecuador and the Dominican Republic when I was in high school, which led me to apply to nursing school.
What education, skills, and expertise do you bring to your role?
I lived in San Francisco while getting my undergraduate degree and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San Francisco. I have since been living back in Seattle and have 6 years of psychiatric nursing experience. While working, I obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Washington and am now a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
In my younger days, I started babysitting at around age 11. I did this for many years and worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor in the summers. I am very comfortable working with kids as well as adults. I also have personal experience with ADHD treatment in my past.

My family
What’s your personal philosophy/approach toward the work you do?
Using a collaborative approach and helping clients to understand that medication is one part of the treatment continuum.
What is one small thing people can do to improve their lives and increase their happiness?
Staying present and never compare yourself to others. Everyone has flaws.
