Kinnavey Cunningham, ABA, ET/P

About Kinnavey

Kinnavey began working with children with autism while earning her bachelor of science degree in psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This experience sparked her enthusiasm for working with children with developmental challenges. After graduating, she moved to Seattle and was trained in applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy at the University of Washington Autism Center. In collaboration with the Autism Center, she worked as an ABA interventionist with children ‪and youth, implementing individualized programs to target behavioral, social emotional and cognitive skills. Since that time, she has worked with students in elementary school through college with various challenges and learning differences (ASD, ADD/ADHD, LD, etc.). She applies remediation, modifications and accommodations to make academic content more accessible, with parallel attention to behavioral and social emotional challenges.

As an ADHD and Executive Function Coach, Kinnavey works with children, youth and adults to develop and apply systems and strategies to achieve their goals, and to build their sense of competence and confidence. She strongly believes in using a strengths-based approach, finding the best tools and strategies for each individual, while assisting them in gaining better self-awareness and self-management. This focus includes expanding the scope of her knowledge and expertise through continued professional development, including her current work in the completion of her certification in educational therapy through the University of California-Riverside. When she is not focusing on work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, camping, gardening, and trying new recipes and crafts.
