What led you to pursue a career in helping others?

Ever since I was little, I always gravitated toward and felt compassion for people with mental health issues. And I think I wanted to better understand my own ADHD brain.

What education, skills, and expertise do you bring to your role?

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been trained in CBT+ and hold an ADHD Clinical Services Provider certification. I, myself, have ADHD and love working with this population.

Who/what inspires you?

I am inspired by passionate clinicians and the clients I have worked with. I am also really inspired by Dr. Hallowell. Reading his book Driven to Distraction was life changing and has inspired me to want to work with people with ADHD.

What’s your personal philosophy/approach toward the work you do?

I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and are able to find all the right solutions to their problems, once they are aware of their strengths and abilities. I think that the neurotypical and neurodivergent brains, each come with their own set of strengths and weaknesses, which are complementary to each other. I believe that once an individual is aware of the strengths he or she brings to the table, they are more motivated to create positive change.

What is one small thing people can do to improve their lives / increase their happiness?

Spend time with friends and family.
