College Executive Function Skills Series

Who: College students — particularly those entering college for the first time — who are seeking support in understanding and applying executive functioning skills in academic and daily college life. An ADHD diagnosis is not required. This series is open to center clients and non-clients.
What: A pre-recorded video series exploring executive functioning skills and how they apply to everyday college life, organized around four key areas: 1) Cognition, 2) Activation, 3) Action, and 4) Completion.
Available in two pathways:
EF 101 – College Preparation (for students preparing for an upcoming term)
EF 102 – EF in Action (for students currently in an academic term)
EF 101 is not a required prerequisite for EF 102. Participants may choose the pathway most relevant to their current stage.
Cost: $125 (for the pre-recorded modules)
Optional add-ons:
$65 for the live meetings (attend either or both)
$25 for the Personal Playbook
About this course
This program offers an introduction to executive functioning skills and how they show up in common college contexts, including planning, studying, assignment completion, communication, and self-management. The focus is on building awareness, understanding core EF concepts, and exploring practical strategies for everyday life.
Learning Structure: Four pre-recorded parts. Each of the four parts is broken into short video modules.
Suggested pacing: one part per week (or self-paced)
Each of the 4 parts explores EF skills through:
Cognition (thinking and awareness)
Activation (getting started)Action (doing the work)
Completion (finishing tasks)
Optional live Q&A sessions and extra materials available as add-ons
The goals of this series are:
Build a foundational understanding of executive functioning skills in a college context
Support reflection on personal strengths and challenges
Introduce practical strategies for academic follow-through and organization
Provide a clear, accessible framework for understanding EF skills

Live small-group Q&A sessions are available for participants seeking additional integration and clarification. These sessions are optional and may be added separately for $65 (to attend either or both live sessions).Personal Playbook (Downloadable Resource)

About Mara
Mara Dauber, M.Ed. (she/her) is an educator and executive functioning coach who has been at the Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center for over three years. She is passionate about affirming strengths, encouraging self-reflection, and working with clients to develop skills and strategies to do hard things and live fully. Mara's approach is strengths-based, goal-oriented, and collaborative. She received her Master's in Education, in the area of Learning and Human Development, from the University of Washington. When Mara is not working, she is learning new things (the current new thing is woodworking with an emphasis on power tools), reading, or spending time with her friends and family.
About Kinnavey
As an ADHD and Executive Function Coach, Kinnavey Cunningham (she/her) works with children, youth and adults to develop and apply systems and strategies to achieve their goals, and to build their sense of competence and confidence. She employs a strengths-based approach, cooperatively finding the best tools and strategies for each individual, while assisting them in gaining greater self-awareness and self-management. Kinnavey has worked creatively and collaboratively with a wide range of neurodivergent minds for over 15 years, having earned her bachelor of science degree in psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before moving to Seattle and training at the University of Washington Autism Center in applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy. Kinnavey is committed to continued professional development and education, including pursuing certification in educational therapy through the University of California-Riverside. When she is not focusing on work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, camping, gardening, and trying new recipes, crafts or other creative outlets.
