What led you to pursue a career in helping others?
I’ve always believed that everyone deserves to live a life that feels meaningful. Life can be tough and unpredictable, and being able to walk alongside people as they work through those hard moments feels like such an honor. I genuinely love seeing people grow, heal, and move closer to the life they’ve always dreamed of, it’s the most rewarding part of what I do.
What education, skills and expertise do you bring to your role?
I bring a solid educational background with a Master’s from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master’s from Arizona State University in Human and Family Development, both of which laid the groundwork for my clinical expertise and commitment to serving diverse populations. My experience spans a range of settings, including community-based mental health, school-based services, outpatient treatment, and intensive perinatal recovery programs.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families through both individual and group therapy, equipping me with strong skills in crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and evidence-based practices like CBT and mindfulness. Beyond clinical skills, I bring a deep passion for culturally competent, client-centered care. I’m known for creating safe, nonjudgmental spaces where clients feel heard and supported.
Who/what inspires you?
My husband inspires me the most because he’s always approached life with so much drive and ambition. No matter what challenges come his way, he never lets adversity hold him back. At the same time, he’s incredibly consistent in who he is and not afraid to navigate life’s hurdles. He sticks to his values even when things get complicated, and watching him live that way constantly pushes me to grow and stay grounded in my own path.
What’s your personal philosophy/approach toward the work you do?
I believe that each person possesses the inner strength and resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges. Sometimes we need help accessing those internal strengths, and that’s where I come in. My role is to help clients uncover and harness their own capabilities to move through difficult experiences and foster growth. I view every life event, even the most painful ones, as part of the process that makes us who we are. Within each experience lies an opportunity for insight and healing. In therapy, we work together to explore how those experiences have impacted you and how they may still be influencing your present. I see therapy as a collaborative and empowering process where clients are encouraged to express their needs, set their goals, and take an active role in their healing or discovery journey.
What is one small thing people can do to increase their happiness?
Gratitude, find little things to be grateful for in daily routines. This will begin to shift your mindset to focusing on positive things in your daily experiences.
We provide a range of support for people with ADHD.
